Salvadorans living in the U.S. celebrate 200 years of Independence Day

The President of the Banco de Desarrollo de El Salvador (BANDESAL), Juan Pablo Durán participated in the Independence parade held in the city of Los Angeles, California, as part of the Bicentennial of the Republic of El Salvador.

Central American countries such as El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica are celebrating 200 years since the signing of the Act of Independence that put an end to the ties they had with the Spanish crown.

"I have had the opportunity to share with a diversity of salvadoran compatriots, many of them entrepreneurs with hopes of returning to invest in El Salvador, we have offered them our full backing and support", said Juan Pablo Durán, President of BANDESAL.

In 2019 was the last time the parade was held due to the confinement by the Covid-19 that was held in 2020, that is why the salvadorans residing in the United States, dress in blue and white in commemoration of September 15, commemoration of the Independence of the country.

In addition, the leader of BANDESAL expressed: "it is admirable and surprising the patriotic love that our fellow citizens show at this time, a majestic parade, full of joy, splendor, enthusiasm and a boundless love for the land where they were born, without a doubt, they deserve all our admiration and respect".
