Cámara de Comercio e Industria (CAMARASAL) launched the celebration of a week of activities in honor of the Salvadoran entrepreneur, coinciding with the date in which, each year, the value of those who are one of the pillars of the national economy is celebrated.

The realization of the Semana del Empresario was announced at a press conference by the president of the guild, Jorge Hasbún, accompanied by the Marketing and Product Manager of the Chamber, Idania Hernández, and representatives of the sponsors of this important event.

"This year's event invites us to remember that we are unstoppable and that, as our allusive campaign reinforces: entrepreneurs are the heart of progress and the force that moves El Salvador. This drive and entrepreneurial spirit, although they are innate characteristics in those who dare to create and grow a business, also need to be complemented with training and knowledge on an ongoing basis", said Jorge Hasbún, president of the guild.

Idania Hernández explained in detail the activities and contents of the Semana del Empresario 2021, which will be held from June 22 to 25, as a space to explore the latest development trends in the sectors of trade, services, industry, technology, exporters, finance, transportation and entrepreneurship through a daily morning talk.

The schedule of activities breaks down as follows:

  • On June 22, the topic "Strategies for change, digitalization and new business models" will be shared, given by Marcelo Burman, general manager Conecta B2B.
  • On June 23, "Talent attraction versus recruitment, a paradigm shift", by Virginia Rivera, founder and CEO of Conexión Talento.
  • On June 24, the conference "The need to implement a corporate governance system within companies" will be presented by Luis Fernando Rincón, legal director of Rincón Cuéllar and Alexandra Flórez, specialist in corporate law.
  • Finally, on June 25, the talk "The transformation of the labor market: Are we ready to lead it?" will be presented by Paula Liliana Rozo, professor, consultant and expert in Human Talent Management.

These trainings will be broadcast at 11 a.m. on the assigned days through the Zoom platform and on our social networks to ensure the health of the participants.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the Chamber carries out the Entrepreneur's Week, within the framework of the Entrepreneur's Day, which is celebrated every June 18. With these activities, the Chamber seeks to recognize the value of entrepreneurs, of all sizes and sectors, and throughout the country, to build a better country.

The event includes training sessions, such as workshops, forums and lectures, as well as spaces to access more business opportunities, such as trade rounds and networking sessions. This is the second consecutive year in which the activity is held in a 100% virtual format, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to protect the health of participants, sponsors, exhibitors and the guild's work team.

With the realization of the week of the virtual entrepreneur, the Chamber also continues to strengthen the ability to respond to members and entrepreneurs taking advantage of the benefits of digital transformation, not only for its format but also for the topics that are included in the training in webinar format.

In 2021 we have the support of friendly companies that are sponsors of this series of events, including some that have already joined other editions of the Entrepreneur's Week, such as Banco Promérica, ASSA, Infored, Qualitas, to which new allies Merelec, Discovery Corp, Radio Corporación, Publimovil and Escuela Internacional de Negocios are added.
