The survey was conducted to salvadorans 18 years old or older, from july 1 to 4 of this year, in which part of the questions asked to different salvadorans, they were asked if they would be willing to receive their salary or income in Bitcoin, for which 64.8% said they do not agree, 16.5% are willing, while 18.7% do not know.

The study also showed how much salvadorans know about Bitcoin, 48.2% said somewhat, 46% not at all and 4.9% a lot.

The monitoring also showed whether people have the technological equipment to connect to the Internet at any time, to which the population responded that 75% said they have a Smartphone, 23.5% do not have how to connect; 17.7% have a computer, while 12.4% have a tablet.

The survey also showed a large number of salvadorans who do not have a bank account, so 60.7% do not have one, 31.3% have a savings account, 6.6% have a checking account and 1.4% did not answer.

The salvadoran population answered 95% the dollar, 3.2% another, 1% Bitcoin and 0.8% no response was obtained.

The survey concludes that most people think of Bitcoin as a currency, however, there are few who relate it as a virtual currency, so the difference in frequency between those who said the word virtual and those who said currency is evident. Quite a few are of the opinion that they do not know anything, that it is a scam.

Therefore, the salvadoran population is not clear that it is a strictly virtual currency.

People between 18 and 29 years old think that it is not a very wise decision, slightly there are also those who think that it is a wise decision (although less frequently), people between 40 and 55 years old and over 65 years old, think that it is not a wise decision at all, no age group thinks that it is a very wise opinion.
