TagAirlines seduces salvadorans with its new San Salvador - Roatán route

In an exclusive interview for DINERO.COM.SV, TagAirlines CEO, Julio Gamero, announced the inauguration of the official flight from San Salvador to the beautiful island of Roatan.

The flag carrier of Guatemala and the Mayan World, formally began operations of its new air route between the cities of San Salvador and Roatan.

Gamero pointed out that this is part of the expansion that the company is carrying out, with a millionaire investment that includes not only new hires, but also the purchase of more airplanes, in order to modernize the service provided in the region.

The new air route has great relevance by joining two strategic destinations such as the salvadoran capital and one of the main tourist beach destinations in Central America, offering three weekly flights departing on mondays, wednesdays and fridays with round flights.

The new flight is already available for travelers, with attractive fares, said TagAirlines CEO, which will become an important trigger for travel, tourism and regional economic growth.

San Salvador is one of the most important capitals of Central America, a strategic center for business and tourism, with great attractions for travelers; meanwhile, the island of Roatan is one of the main tourist attractions in the region, it is part of the Mesoamerican reef system and is known for its beautiful beaches, diving sites and the presence of marine fauna.

TagAirlines is living a new era with the modernization of its air fleet, new corporate image and new commercial alliances; it is also contemplating the modernization of its fleet with the latest generation ATR 72 aircraft, which will allow it to expand its operations in the region.

TagAirlines thanks the authorities of El Salvador and Honduras for the trust they have placed in the airline, as well as its commercial partners.

As part of this plan, the first direct flight between the city of Flores in Guatemala and Merida in Mexico was launched yesterday, which will allow to get to know part of the culture by visiting two emblematic places such as: Tikal and Chichen Itza.

TagAirlines is the flagship airline of Guatemala and the Mayan World, which for 60 years has maintained a strong commitment to air connectivity and the development of Central America and southern Mexico.

Committed to air connectivity, it currently operates 27 daily flights in five countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize and Mexico, with a fleet of more than 20 aircraft.

It is important to note that in 2021 TagAirlines began operations in Mexico and currently flies from Guatemala to Merida, Cancun, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Tapachula and Oaxaca, with occupancy rates above 90 percent.
