The Commissioner of Strategic Projects, Cristian Flores, informed that different foreign companies will come to invest in El Salvador in different areas for an approximate amount of US$700 million.

One of these companies is the Santa Rosa y Villasol plant, which will generate energy with sunlight. The company MPC Energy Solutions has invested US$24 million for the development.

According to the official, these projects add to the bet for the diversification of the energy matrix.

Flores saidd that the eastern part of the country has become a recipient of long-range plans with a diversity of sectors and there is a private company interested in investing US$200 million, which will promote economic growth, social and environmental development, and greater dynamism in employability.

He emphasized that due to the Bitcoin strategy, initiatives that link technology and innovation with this crypto-asset are already underway, such as Anchor, in Chalatenango, and Structure.Fi, a digital service that will accelerate financial inclusion.

The salvadoran migrant community also contributes to the projection, some of them from the east. With the support of PROESA and its SALEX strategy, they envision an investment of more than US$400 million by 2022.

The Central Government adds that it has also done its part with works such as Surf City Circuit 2 in the eastern zone, which involves US$96 million. The Pacific Airport, the new trade route with Guatemala, municipal markets and interventions in schools are works that contribute to the total investment.
