World food prices fell in july, FAO says

The international food price index, according to the United Nations (FAO), averaged 140.9 points in july 2022, down 13.3 points from june, declining for the fourth consecutive month.

The Ministerio de Economía (MINEC), informs that the cost for the 25 pound gas cylinder will remain at US$11.13 for the consumer during the month of july, but with the benefit of the subsidy its value will be US$3.09.

The Bolsa de Valores (BVES), integrated between El Salvador and Panama, reached a cumulative total of US$252.9 million in traded amounts as of july 2021, registering an interannual increase of 48.2%, demonstrating the interest of investors in the markets of both countries. The amount traded in the stock market as of july 2020 was US$170.7 million and as of july 2021 was US$252.9 million.
