Manejo Integral de Desechos Sólidos, MIDES as part of its commitment to the salvadoran society, continues to highlight the values of the Bicentennial celebration. In this month of september, the company has decided to join and share with the population, through beautiful postcards and messages that reflect the cultural wealth of the country.

In their social networks they have highlighted emblematic places of different points, from El Tunco beach, through  Coatepeque Lake, Los Planes de Renderos and reaching the Palacio Nacional in the Historic Center of the city of San Salvador.

MIDES is a company that has been dedicated to the treatment of solid waste, contributing to the maintenance of the environment, the conservation of rivers and lakes, through its various cleaning campaigns, making clear the commitment they have to keep El Salvador clean and free of garbage.

In previous days, the company promoted a cleaning day in the country's lakes, and local volunteers joined this initiative to help with the cleaning of Lake Ilopango, who together with the Ilopango Divers team collected tons of waste, including bottles, plastic bags, glass, organic waste, etc.

In addition, with the objective of recommending the population to reduce the use of plastic, MIDES volunteers went to the main streets of San Salvador to hand out reusable bags to motorists, motorcyclists and passers-by.

According to official data, a total of 8.4 million bags are used daily in the country, 95% of which end up in the streets, drains, rivers, streams and beaches, while the rest end up in recycling.
