Every year, around 198 salvadoran families receive the hard news that their child has been diagnosed with pediatric cancer and that the treatment, per patient, can last up to 8 years. However, the probability of survival is high, since 7 out of 10 children with this disease can be cured. Therefore, since its inception, the Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir has provided comprehensive treatment at no cost to children who develop cancer in El Salvador, giving them the opportunity to fight against this disease.

That is why the main objective of the Rifa Únete is to donate all the proceeds from the sale of tickets promoted by Pollo Campero and its collaborators. So, today, thanks to the support of all salvadorans in this activity, more than 167 children are free of the disease.

Since 1991, the Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir has marked the history of the fight against pediatric cancer in El Salvador, bringing hope of life to more than 1,500 patients, who have been diagnosed in time and have been provided with comprehensive treatment at no cost.

Donation and awards ceremony

This february 16, one day after the international day of pediatric cancer, the donation ceremony was held with the objective of generating awareness and empathy about the needs and challenges faced by children with cancer and their families; since, despite being a highly curable disease, in El Salvador for every child treated, there is another that is still undiagnosed.

In addition, salvadorans were able to participate in the drawing for prizes of USD$20,000, USD$10,000, and 12 prizes of US$1,000, which were awarded by the Rifa Únete with the objective of thanking everyone for their support to this noble cause.

This donation shows us that united we can achieve great things and give hope of life to children to overcome this great challenge.
