Continuing with the decontamination of Lake Ilopango, the solid waste collection company (MIDES), moved to the town of Apansino to undertake the third day of activities.

"This is an activity dedicated to the maintenance and cleaning of our natural resources", said the leading company in solid waste management in the country.

In this new day, MIDES was joined by local volunteers to help in the collection and cleaning of Ilopango Lake, who together with the Ilopango Divers team collected tons of waste, among them bottles, plastic bags, glass, organic waste, etc.

"We thank the volunteers who support us in this journey. So far we have collected 9 bags of waste and we continue for more", MIDES emphasized during the morning.

This is the third date in which MIDES develops a cleanup campaign in Ilopango Lake. The company plans to develop 3 more dates in the month of september, in this locality that is considered one of the most polluted bodies in the salvadoran territory.
