BANDESAL invested US$400 million to subsidize 13,500 companies in the country

The President of Banco de Desarrollo de El Salvador (BANDESAL), Juan Pablo Durán, informed in a morning interview that the institution has subsidized more than 13,500 companies, delivering close to US$400 million.

The Bank has reached 27,500 companies with the delivery of credits, seeking to support those entrepreneurs who had not been able to access financing.

He also stated that the institution provides support to micro and small entrepreneurs who need to acquire a loan in order to obtain advantages in their establishment and in the market.

He also indicated that the program Fideicomiso para la Recuperación Económica de las Empresas (FIREMPRESA), granted funds to the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

BANDESAL graduated 32 entrepreneurs from the Digital Transformation Strategies diploma course.

The head of BANDESAL, Juan Pablo Durán, accompanied by the Director of International Relations of the Universidad Francisco Gavidia, Roberto Morán, held the virtual graduation ceremony of 32 entrepreneurs of the Second Intermediate Level Diploma in Digital Transformation Strategies.

The diploma course was taught in the virtual classroom of BANDESAL, the participants, micro and small entrepreneurs have been able to strengthen their skills and develop new strategies so that their businesses do not remain in obsolescence and can innovate disruptively in the market.

Durán affirms that these actions have had a positive impact on the economic growth of El Salvador in 2021, and the institution will continue to support the productive sectors.
