As ASAPRECAN we know that adapting to changes after breast cancer and a mastectomy is difficult, physically and emotionally.

The important thing is to understand that a woman without a breast is still as much a woman as any other. External breast prostheses give patients back the feeling of having a natural breast.

This delivery of prostheses is possible thanks to a donation of US$32,500.00 made by AVON, as part of its program programa “Avon promesa para ganarle al cáncer de mama,” which seeks to raise awareness among men and women of all ages about the importance of self-examination and early detection, and to allocate funds for projects focused on this disease in its four stages: awareness, research, treatment, and reconstruction.

"For Avon, we are proud to support ASAPRECAN for the fourth consecutive year, we have been working with the organization since 2018 and we recognize the great work they do bringing health services to women and ensuring dignified care especially for those who bravely face this disease", said Rosa Esther Pérez, country manager Avon El Salvador.

This is our first delivery of the year, we will continue to support more women to have access. One of the users said she felt "very grateful for this important support because the prostheses give her back the confidence and security of being victorious after having beaten cancer".
