Grupo Promerica will participate in the 21st edition of the Sustainability Week of IDB Invest, the private sector investment area of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, which brings together 47 member countries around the world.

Michelle Espinach, Sustainable Banking Manager of Banco Promerica in Costa Rica, says that participation in this event is extremely important because it reinforces the Group's commitment to sustainable development.

"The strong actions in sustainability demonstrate our commitment to be agents of change. We are the first financial institution to implement a green credit line to finance sustainable and environmentally friendly projects; we are also the first bank in Central America to issue sustainable bonds and we are founding signatories of the United Nations Responsible Banking principles and the Net Zero Banking Alliance. These concrete actions position us as a benchmark for sustainability in the region", said Espinach.

In this way, Grupo Promerica will participate in the panel "How can the private sector support the transition to resilient and zero net emissions economies? Similarly, it will be present in the webinar on impact measurement, thanks to an innovative tool designed to facilitate the measurement of indicators that demonstrate the significance of the actions implemented in relation to the impact reflected in the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

"BID Invest knows the long trajectory we have working on sustainability. We have their technical assistance and they were the guarantors of our Sustainable Bond, the first to be brought to the market in the region", Espinach explained.

Sustainability Week will be held from june 28 to july 1 in Miami, United States. The event will feature more than 100 global exhibitors.
