Written by Paty Salinas

Facing Independence Day, like every year, salvadorans are getting ready to celebrate in style... And what better than a good plate of food after the parades! For this, the Uber Eats app has a wide range of local restaurant partners offering typical dishes made by SMEs that celebrate good salvadoran cuisine, all at the touch of a button.

"At Uber Eats we join this great national celebration and take the opportunity to highlight the taste of local food. Thanks to all salvadorans for making us the number one delivery app in El Salvador and thanks to the community of entrepreneurs and merchants who rely on Uber Eats to connect with users in various parts of the country. All this contributes to generate opportunities for more delivery partners to find a way to earn additional profits. Today we highlight our commitment to this beautiful country and celebrate the pride of being salvadoran", said Carolina Coto, communications manager for Uber in Central America and the Caribbean.

Since Uber Eats has been available in the country, among the local dishes most ordered by the app during the month of celebration of independence are: pupusas, tortas, tacos, and burritos. Uber Eats has more than 740 restaurant partners, 60% of which are SMEs.

Local dishes at the touch of a button: When defining the menu to celebrate Independence Day, users in El Salvador can choose from hundreds of active businesses in Uber Eats. But, when it comes to national cuisine, some of the local restaurants and their outstanding dishes in this category are:
