Written by Evelyn Alas

With the commitment to maintain the qualities and talent that have highlighted and positioned it as a leader in Central America, this year Unity Willis Towers Watson changes its name to WTW, under the premise of always offering integrity, excellence and a strong commitment to the client.

WTW is one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the region and the only insurance brokerage firm with a strong presence in the Central American region with more than 600 employees and extensive experience in risk management and personal insurance.

In this way, WTW and Unity Willis Towers Watson maintain their essence under a single brand, adding to the region the virtues and regional and global reach provided by WTW, which operates in more than 140 countries internationally and in six of the Central American region such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cost Rica and Panama.

As a region, Central America is the fourth largest economy in Latin America.

In 2020, WTW acquired Grupo Unity for sharing its philosophy of always focusing on the client, working with integrity and as a team. Since then it was called 'Unity Willis Towers Watson', name that from now on changes to WTW with the commitment to continue offering solutions focused on the local market in areas such as:

Corporate Risk and Brokerage

Human Capital and Benefits

Investments, Risk and Reinsurance

In the region, WTW offers clients analytical, data-driven solutions for people, risk and capital, leveraging the global vision and local expertise of its professionals focused on deep assessment, leading analytics and a defined roadmap that ensures compelling results aligned with corporate goals and objectives.

WTW currently serves 93% of the Global Fortune 500 through talent, risk and capital management strategies to help the world's leading companies thrive.

"Our name and brand reflect clear, practical solutions that help address today's challenges, because we are determined to help our clients succeed through innovative solutions that meet their needs. Working side by side, we uncover opportunities for sustainable success, and bring the perspective that drives them", said Tito Ducruet, executive director of Central America for WTW and Country Head of Panama.
