New application fees for U.S. visas take effect until june 17th

The U.S. Embassy posted via twitter account the State Department has changed the date of the increase in non-immigrant visa application processing fees.

Visitor visas for business or tourism (B1/B2) and other non-petition categories will increase from US$160 to US$185.

Petition-based visas for temporary workers (H, L, O, P, Q and R categories) will increase from $190 to $205.

Fees for most non-petition based NIVs were last updated in 2012, and some others in 2014. There are consular fees that will not be affected.
