Deposits in El Salvador reached more than US$17,553.0 million

According to the report of the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña, ABANSA, deposits reached more than US$17,553.0 million for the month of march 2024. This represents an increase of 4.2%, equivalent to US$709.4 million more than in march 2023.

In addition, it was recorded that in march 2023 the total amount of deposits was US$16,843.6 million which was equivalent to 4.2%. In this segment, time deposits grew by 7.5% reaching US$6,467.1 million.

Among the largest deposit balances, Banco Agrícola was ranked first with US$4,414.3 million, Banco Cuscatlan was ranked second with US$3,022.5 million, and BAC Credomatic was ranked third with US$2,573.6 million.

The data provided shows that the total amount of deposits among salvadoran private banks for the month of march 2023 was US$16,843.6 million, having an increase in the period of one year with an amount of US$17,553.0 million.

It was also shown that time deposits had an increase from 0.3% to 7.5% being an equivalent of US$6,467.1 million.
