Fuel will be US$0.20 cheaper when paying with your bitcoin at any gas station in the country

President Nayib Bukele informed through his twitter account that the company Chivo negotiated with the country's gas stations and indicated that, as of this day, gas stations will sell each gallon of fuel US$0.20 cheaper when paying with bitcoin through the application.

In addition, an increase is expected in the coming days in the price of a gallon of fuel, according to international media the price of a barrel of oil was observed oscillating between US$63 and US$67 per barrel, but the international stock market recorded US$80.25 this week.

 

That is why salvadorans who are about to fill their fuel tank may approach the gas station of their choice to have the decrease of US$0.20 by paying with bitcoin through the digital wallet Chivo Wallet.

The President expressed in his Twitter account that he has signed and ordered the publication of the decree that authorizes a fund to stabilize the price of Liquefied Gas with the objective of protecting the family economy of all salvadorans before the price increase of the gas cylinder, due to the fact that the international market programmed an increase for today of US$1.17 in the presentation of the 25 pound cylinder, so today that increase will not be transferred.

The new Transitory Law for the Stabilization of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Prices will be delivered to the propane gas bottling companies and the surcharge will be paid through the General Fund of the Nation, which may be around US$15 million investment.

"This will not only alleviate the pockets of households, but also those of small businesses, helping to strengthen our economy and that the most vulnerable sectors also feel the benefit of the economic growth that our country is having", said the President.
