The ministerio de Economía (MINEC), informs salvadorans that fuel prices will show a slight decrease of between US$0.11 and US$0.10, which will be in effect from november 30 to december 13, 2021.

Premium gasoline will have a slight decrease of US$0.10 for the central, western and eastern zones, with a suggested price of US$4.06 and US$4.02.

Regular gasoline will decrease US$0.11 for the central and western zones of the country, but for the eastern zone it will decrease US$0.10, with a suggested price of US$3.91 and US$3.86.

Low-sulfur diesel will decrease US$0.10 in the central and western zone, and US$0.09 in the eastern zone, with a suggested price of US$3.57 and US$3.52.

One of the factors that have influenced this price decrease is due to the fact that the United States and other countries are planning to release strategic oil reserves.

To save fuel and avoid unnecessary expenses to your pocket, it is recommended that, if you are going to be stopped for a long time, it is preferable to stop the engine and then restart it. Normally, vehicles spend between 0.5 and 1 liter of fuel per hour when they are stopped.

If you use your vehicle on a daily basis, it is best to go through everything you keep in your trunk and take home what you don't need. Don't use the storage cart. It's an easy and practical way to spend less on gas and save a few dollars at the end of the month.

Use the air conditioning when necessary or else the vehicle will use a little more gas, especially if you are driving at low speed.
