Economy expects job recovery to drive economic growth of 10.3% by the end of 2021

The minister of Economy, Maria Luisa Hayem, in a morning interview explained that the recovery of jobs will help the country's economic growth during the closing of 2021 with 10.3%.

She said that september of this year, a unique record was achieved in the number of formal jobs in the salvadoran economy, with more than 710 thousand formal jobs.

The minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, informed that by the end of 2021 the number of new jobs is expected to reach 30 thousand.

He also pointed out that the Ministry of Economy seeks to improve the living conditions of salvadorans through actions such as, for example, the employment subsidy they are offering through the opportunities program.

The program that supports Pequeña y Mediana Empresa (MYPE) is also being a factor in boosting the country's economy.

Also, another program that is supporting the recovery of jobs and the economy is the Fideicomiso para la Recuperación Económica de las Empresas Salvadoreñas (FIREMPRESA).

The Minister of Labor, pointed out that the goal of the Ministry of Labor for next year is to place people with disabilities in new jobs. Likewise, they will start a certification program for people with physical disabilities for different job positions.
