San Salvador Mayor's Office managed more than 10 thousand job openings at the Mega Job Fair 2022

The Mayor's Office of San Salvador carried out the Mega Job Fair 2022 which brought together more than 100 companies and exceeded 10 thousand job openings, between permanent and temporary. The activity was coordinated by the mayor of the capital, Mario Durán, through the Department of Employment Management.

As a contribution to the economy and security of those interested, starting at 7:00 a.m. the municipality provided free transportation, round trip, from the 6 district headquarters to a hotel in the San Benito neighborhood, where the event took place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Upon arrival, the applicants had to follow biosecurity protocols to prevent Covid-19 and at all times were oriented by municipal staff about the companies and jobs available. In addition, they were offered the service of resume preparation, printing and photocopying free of charge.

During the day, attendees had the opportunity to apply for positions in the restaurant sector, customer service, call operators, motorists, technical and administrative areas, security guards, cleaning personnel, warehouse managers, options for people with disabilities, among others.

The director of the Centro de Formación Laboral (CFL), Krissia de Catalán, said that some companies started today with the hiring process, in other cases they began the evaluation process to move to the next phase.

On a permanent basis, the Employment Management Department facilitates the link between job applicants and different companies that have vacancies. For more information, interested parties may call 2511-6000 extensions 1196, 1405 and 1179.

Mayor Mario Durán also promotes entrepreneurship programs through the CFL, which offers 37 technical courses for people to start their own business and generate income for their families. Likewise, the " Una Obra por Día " plan opens employment opportunities for hundreds of people who are in charge of executing high-impact projects in the capital's communities.
