EOR says Central American region is committed to sustainable and modern energy

On World Energy Day, the Regional Operating Entity (EOR), wishes to share important data that demonstrates that the Central American region is committed to an affordable, safe, sustainable and modern energy model.

According to the Operational Planning report prepared by the EOR, the existing generation matrix as of december 31 ?????, totaled ?7, 347 ??, of which 65.3% (11, 322 MW) came from renewable energy sources.

By 2022-2023, 34 RE generation projects are expected to be incorporated to the region, which means an additional 606 MW to the electricity generation matrix, demonstrating the commitment of the MER member countries to a sustainable and modern energy model.

The EOR, in its role as planner of the regional electricity system and market, carries out the regional energy planning.
