The Ministry of Economy (MINEC), informs salvadorans the new variations in the prices of Liquefied Propane Gas (LPG) that will be in effect from march 1 to march 31, 2022.

Salvadorans who purchase the 25 pound gas cylinder presentation, will cost US$11.13 to the consumer, but if they have the benefit of the subsidy granted by the Central Government of US$8.04, they will only pay US$3.09.

In the 35-pound presentation, salvadorans will pay US$15.50 and with the subsidy they will pay US$7.46 out of pocket.

Likewise, people who prefer the 20-pound presentation will pay US$8.04, but if they have the subsidy they will only pay US$0.94 to the gas distributor of their preference.

For the 10 pound cylinder, salvadorans will only pay US$4.61, this is the only presentation that does not have a subsidy.

It is advisable to maintain your stove and clean it regularly, especially the burners where residues accumulate.

The residues accumulated on the burners causes the flame to turn orange instead of blue when the stove is turned on, indicating that the gas is not being burned as usual, thus wasting more product than necessary.

In order to have a faster cooking and to save gas it is necessary to cover the pots. This will also help to concentrate the juices and aromas of the preparation.
