The point-to-point variation is 6.67%, which is 5.61 percentage points higher than that recorded in february 2021, which was 1.06%.
Likewise, the Transportation division reports the main point-to-point IPC increase reaching 9.61% compared to february last year.
The report shows that the monthly price behavior from February 2020 to the same month of 2022, reflects a price increase mainly in corn, seafood, oils, fats, fruits, fertilizers and fuels.
In february 2021 reflected a positive behavior of 0.62%, motivated on that date by the increase in housing, water, electricity, gas and others.
Positive price variations in 9 divisions drove monthly inflation upwards, with food and non-alcoholic beverages standing out with 0.97%, furniture, household items and ordinary household maintenance with 0.81%, transportation with 2.28%, recreation and culture with 1.16%.
The IPC is an index number that measures price changes from one month to another, through the monitoring of a basket of goods and services previously defined and that households buy and use directly or indirectly for the satisfaction of their own needs and desires.
