25 lb. gas cylinder to remain at US$11.13 in april

The Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, and the President of the Defensoría del Consumidor, Ricardo Salazar, informed that in view of the world inflation for the month of April the prices of Liquefied Propane Gas (LPG), will be maintained and for the presentation of the 25 pound gas cylinder will always be US$11.13 to the consumer.

If the salvadoran has the general and focused subsidy of US$8.04, he/she will only contribute US$3.09 from his/her pocket to the seller.

For the 35-pound cylinder, people without subsidy will only pay US$15.50 and with the benefit they will only pay US$7.46, at the distributor or local store of their choice.
 
The 20-pound presentation without subsidy will cost US$8.98 and with the benefit they will only pay US$0.94 and the 10-pound cylinder will cost US$4.61.
 
According to the head of the Defensoría del Consumidotr, this subsidy benefits even micro and small entrepreneurs, such as bakers and tortilla makers in the country.
Likewise, more than 10,000 points will be reached and added that distribution companies or local stores that violate the Law will be fined up to US$6,000.
