Of the 100% of inbound and outbound tourists from Honduras and El Salvador, both countries share 20%

The minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, said in an interview that Honduras and El Salvador share 20% of the total daily visits or departures from the country.

According to the head of this state portfolio the first flight that opens today from San Salvador to Roatan will be a door of many opportunities for both countries and also for people to enjoy their trip with quality and comfort.

Both Honduras and El Salvador share a wealth of culture and tourist destinations, whether for the diverse beaches, recreational parks, beautiful beaches and diversity of gastronomy for people to enjoy.

Likewise, TagAirlines CEO, Julio Gamero says that they are investing more than US$10 million for the air fleet and more than 500 employees so they can provide a better service to travelers.

TagAirlines is living a new era with the modernization of its air fleet, new corporate image and new commercial alliances; it is also contemplating the modernization of its fleet with the latest generation ATR 72 aircraft, which will allow it to expand operations in the region.

The President of the Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA), Federico Anliker, indicated that during the vacation period, from july 30 to august 7, the Aeropuerto Internacional de El Salvador “San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez” developed more than 400 commercial passenger flight operations, registering an increase of 6.2 % with respect to the same period of 2021. The majority of international tourists 38 % came from the United States, Guatemala 28 % and Honduras 22 %.
