The IVAE is a monthly indicator of the country's production, without discounting the raw materials used; it is measured in terms of volume or physical units and not in monetary values.
The highest growth within the IVAE corresponds mainly to activities such as: Construction (18.5%), Government Services (7.2%), Industrial Production (3.6%), Real Estate Services (3.6%), Professional and Technical Services (3.2%).
Also, the IVAE result for june 2022 was driven by 8 of the activities that comprise it among them, the financial sector 2.5%, commerce; transportation; hotels and restaurants 1.8%, agriculture and livestock 0.6%.
The IVAE results allow us to anticipate GDP growth in the second quarter of 2022, thus ruling out a recession. Likewise, it is expected that in the second half of the year the growth dynamism will be maintained, despite the challenges of the international economic environment.
The IVAE, as a short-term indicator, does not measure the Gross Domestic Product, but its main objective is to indicate the inter-annual trajectory of productive activity, and thus provide signals to economic agents on the trend-cycle of economic activity and its changes.
