US$ 63 million will be the investment for the first public-private partnership in the country

The president of Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA), Federico Anliker López, indicated in an interview about the approval with 64 votes by the Legislative Assembly (LA) of the first public-private partnership in the country for the modernization and expansion project of the cargo terminal of the International Airport of El Salvador.

The project will have an investment of around US$63 million that will promote the modernization and expansion of the airport's cargo terminal.

Likewise, the president of CEPA affirmed that, ''The airport will be more efficient, more modern and will provide quality services that which are part of the Plan Despegue Económico”.

The official reiterated that the first public-private partnership for the cargo terminal of the Aeropuerto Internacional de El Salvador, ''is not a privatization''.

We are waiting for it to be published in the Official Gazette to be able to sign the contract (of the public-private partnership)", said CEPA's president Federico Anliker.
