The Asociación Cafetalera de El Salvador announced the export of the first container of coffee beans as part of the Chamani project to the company Five Points Trading Corp, from the United States.

The minister of Agriculture, David Martinez, was pleased to say that this has been a "great day" for salvadoran coffee. The Cup of Excellence auction ended with high prices for coffee growers for each pound of the best golden bean. At least six coffees managed to exceed 90 points.
