Davivienda donates US$15,000 to World Vision's Jóvenes Súper Pilas program

Banco Davivienda, as part of its alliance with World Vision El Salvador, reiterates its commitment to salvadorans, giving a donation of US$15,000, which will be invested in the implementation of World Vision's Jóvenes Súper Pilas program in the eastern region, which seeks to increase economic opportunities for young people between 18 and 29 years of age.

With this contribution, the program will reach the population of the departments of the eastern zone, 50 young people will have access to the "Jóvenes Súper Pilas" methodology, which consists of receiving training in leadership skills, vocational knowledge and a life plan that will provide them with self-employment opportunities. In addition, they will be able to participate in different workshops to improve all their skills and abilities; likewise, 25 of them will benefit from seed capital to implement their business plan.

We are pleased to offer, together with World Vision through Jóvenes Súper Pilas, entrepreneurial opportunities to young people in the eastern zone, which translate into personal and professional development, making possible the realization of their dreams, providing them with the necessary tools to succeed", said William Molina, District manager of Agencies Eastern Zone, Banco Davivienda Salvadoreño.

The director of Integrated Ministry Roberto Villacorta said: "We are aware that in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the economic situation of our country has been strongly affected, directly impacting local commerce, however, through the project Jóvenes Súper Pilas, we seek to train young entrepreneurs, resilient with a positive and hopeful vision of their future".

To date, more than 1,000 young people have participated in the training process of the Jóvenes Súper Pilas Program methodology, which has been carried out from 2020 to 2021, of which 377 of these young people, 281 are women and 96 are men, who have been trained in entrepreneurship and 149 have been supported with seed capital.

With this program, World Vision and Davivienda open a range of opportunities for this sector. El Salvador has a young population that lives in very vulnerable areas and this initiative is aimed in that direction, to continue accompanying salvadorans, bringing the necessary tools for the development of salvadoran youth.
