Avon El Salvador and the organization Voces Vitales closed the project "Building the best version of me" as part of the program "Avon Put an End to Violence against women and girls", where they awarded diplomas for their participation to 96 women entrepreneurs from different parts of the country.

This program included Plan de Vida and Plan de Negocios, where the beneficiaries learned about female economic empowerment, self-esteem, and business management topics such as: business models, costing, profit margin, sales price, marketing strategies, sales strategies and key elements to improve customer service, in order to put them into practice in their businesses.

Also, support was provided to improve their branding with logo design and the delivery of a basic printed kit to promote their businesses.

The participants come from 20 municipalities in the country, including: San Pedro Masahuat, Santiago Nonualco, San Luis Talpa, San Vicente, Ayutuxtepeque, Apopa, Soyapango, Ciudad Delgado, San Salvador, and others.

Avon donated a total of $22,500.00 to Voces Vitales for the development of this project that directly benefited women victims of violence or abuse, in alliance with other organizations that offer psychological and/or legal assistance to women.

Gerardo Martínez, representative of Avon, said that for the company it is essential to support this type of program that allows women to achieve economic independence and at the same time helps them to leave circles of violence.

Verónica Castro, vice-president of Voces Vitales, said that "investing in women, providing them with tools for their empowerment is freeing them from being victims of violence and guiding them towards economic independence".

Meanwhile, Eleticia García, one of the beneficiaries of the program said that "learning new things is a nice experience because it allows us to have knowledge to put into practice in entrepreneurship".

Since 2007, Avon in Central America and the Dominican Republic has been promoting various actions such as: encouraging dialogue, providing relevant information about the problem to the network of representatives, collaborators, customers and partners, and working with local organizations to ensure that women and girls feel understood and supported by receiving fair treatment when they seek help or report abuse.

Voces Vitales El Salvador seeks to empower salvadoran women by strengthening their personality, knowledge, abilities, skills and competencies, thus facilitating their access to better economic opportunities. Therefore, it works to provide management skills to improve the businesses of women entrepreneurs who own MSMEs.
