The Ministers of Tourism, Morena Valdez, the Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, and the General Manager of the Corporación Salvadoreña de Turismo (CORSATUR), are conducting an inspection tour of projects carried out with non-refundable funds given to 32 companies by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The first point to visit was Las Tunas Restaurant, in La Unión.

The Central Government delivered non-refundable funds for US$14,355 to Mirna Andasol, owner of Las Tunas Restaurant, with this money she improved the infrastructure of the place. Mirna Andasol explains in detail what has been done at Las Tunas Restaurant. "It has benefited me throughout this project", she said.

Mirna Andasol said that with the money received, the restroom area in the restaurant area was built and the floor was changed. "We explained all this in the required documents and they gave us the go-ahead to start it up", said the owner of Las Tunas Restaurant.

There are 12 people, residents of the area, who work in this restaurant. In this way, the economy continues to recover in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic.

The viewpoint of Las Tunas Restaurant is another of the new areas. "Before we only received 150 people, but now we have the capacity to serve 200 more; always complying with biosafety standards", explains Mirna Andasol.

The second place to visit was the Paradise Surf Hotel, in Chirilagua, San Miguel.

The Paradise Surf Hotel received US$15,511 to purchase goods for equipping rooms and installing common areas. The non-reimbursable funds were provided by the IDB.

"We are working in a coordinated manner so that the eastern zone is strengthened through these non-reimbursable funds", said the Minister of Tourism.
