Together with the Ministerio de Economía (MINEC), they held an informative meeting with representatives of financial institutions and associations to discuss the implementation of the Electronic Signature.

In the event, the Superintendent of the Financial System, Mario Menéndez, highlighted that the Electronic Signature brings benefits in contracting financial products and services in an agile way, eliminating geographic barriers and promoting real financial inclusion.

He said that the reform approved in 2021, included improvements in aspects of legal security, strengthening the investment climate in the country with the promotion of new business models.

It is through these actions that the salvadoran population will be able to access the financial system, whether it be banking, investing in the stock market or taking out insurance immediately.

The Superintendent, Mario Menéndez, called on financial institutions to join these innovation strategies that make the country grow.

He emphasized that they are working in coordination with State institutions, such as the Fiscalía General de La República of El Salvador and the Corte Suprema de Justicia of El Salvador to harmonize legal actions with the implementation of electronic signatures.
