Treasury recovered US$131.3 million through tax amnesty

The minister of Finance, Alejandro Zelaya, announced in a press conference that, at the end of november 1 of this year, the tax amnesty resulted in the collection of US$131.3 million, which corresponds to approximately 25,000 taxpayers who applied for the amnesty.

In addition, the minister informed that they have received US$52 million in cash, up to this moment. The remaining US$78 million will be received when the taxpayers pay the installments.

The Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA) counts US$3.2 million collected corresponding to 63 taxpayers covered by the tax amnesty.
