The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will organize a series of activities during the month of September to commemorate the International Day for Universal Access to Information. The objective of these initiatives is to promote and raise awareness among the Bank's staff and external stakeholders about the importance of access to information to promote transparency.

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) has made great strides in terms of transparency and access to information through the application and strict compliance with its Access to Information Policy as well as all international norms and standards of the AML/CFT/FPDMA Risk Management System, Integrity and Sanctions and its Anti-Fraud, Anti-Corruption and Other Prohibited Practices Policy.

According to the International Budget Partnership (IBP) survey, El Salvador falls in the world rankings of budget accountability and obtained a drop of five points, going from 46 in 2019 to 41 in 2021 on a scale from 0 to 100.
