The President of Banco de Desarrollo de El Salvador (BANDESAL), Juan Pablo Durán informed that the financial institution will help through the Fideicomiso para la Recuperación Económica de las Empresas Salvadoreñas (FIREMPRESA), to those educational institutions that are currently facing financial problems due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, the head of BANDESAL, said that the institution is willing to be a priority in the educational issue and if the private schools feel any difficulty and that it is reasonable within the operation of their educational center, they will not let any of them fall.

The institutions that will have access to this right are private schools and small universities.

Last year at the beginning of the school year, according to the Asociación de Colegios Privados de El Salvador (ACPES), about 29 institutions did not open enrollment for that year due to different factors that were affected by the Covid-19.

This trust arose from the US$600 million loan that the Central Government managed to recover from the impact of Covid-19 in the country.
