The Government of El Salvador, through the Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), together with the Fondo Especial de los Recursos provenientes de la Privatización de ANTEL (FANTEL), will deliver close to $82,700.00 in non-refundable funds to micro and small enterprises in the footwear chain.

A total of 9 MSEs of the footwear chain will benefit from these non-refundable funds for the industrial development of their footwear plants, which will allow them to acquire new equipment, machinery and tools to make their productive activities more efficient.

The purpose of these funds is to enable the winning MSEs to improve or implement new production processes and systems for inventory control, pattern making, among others.

The delivery of these non-refundable funds is part of the project implemented by FANTEL and CONAMYPE to strengthen value chains, specifically in the footwear chain.

This project seeks to increase productivity by at least 35% of the current installed physical capacity of the factories, as well as to increase the generation of added value by 25%, and to increase employment and income generation in these economic units by 20%.
