More than US$2 million is being invested in new equipment for services at the port of Acajutla, in Sonsonate.
From january 1 to date, the Port of Acajutla has registered a 29% growth in the mobilization of containers, with respect to 2023. In addition, 1.3 million metric tons have been mobilized so far this year.
Anliker mentioned that details are being finalized with financial institutions for the progress of the project, which contemplates improvements on the land and sea sides.
He emphasized that these advances reflect the economic dynamization that El Salvador is experiencing, since ports and airports are thermometers of the country's productive activity.
