The company benefited 1,400 children from low-income families in communities and schools in El Salvador through its campaign “Haz Magia”
As part of its commitment to the communities, Walmart El Salvador through the “Haz Magia” campaign, delivered 1,400 toys to children from families with limited resources, belonging to communities and schools near its stores in San Salvador, Santa Ana and San Miguel.
The delivery of toys, which is carried out under the sustainability pillar of Walmart Community, was carried out in coordination with Glasswing International Foundation and the Food Bank. Among the institutions benefited were:
San Salvador: Nursery, eight schools and two high schools.
Santa Ana: Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos Home, two schools and one high school.
San Miguel: Fusalmo.
La Libertad: Centro de Bienestar Infantil Zaragoza.
During the delivery activities, 60 Walmart associates participated as volunteers, dedicating their time and energy to provide moments of joy and hope to the beneficiaries.
“At Walmart we work continuously to contribute to the welfare of salvadoran families, especially during significant times like this. With our Haz Magia campaign, we want more children to live moments of happiness and for their families to feel accompanied. These actions reflect our commitment to improve living conditions in the communities where we operate”, said Sandra Cáceres, Walmart El Salvador’s Corporate Affairs Coordinator.
With this initiative, Walmart reaffirms its mission to positively transform the lives of salvadoran families, promoting solidarity actions that promote unity, joy and well-being in the communities.
