Fundación Henríquez and Glasswing International recognized the impact of youth leadership and empowerment developed at the Núcleo Lab Hub. For five years, both organizations have worked together to energize this building, located on the outskirts of downtown San Salvador. This space was energized since 2022 and has served as a key platform for the development of personal and professional skills in salvadoran youth, especially for those residing in surrounding communities.

During this time, the Núcleo Lab Hub has been a meeting point that has supported 3,500 people including youth, community leaders, students, and entrepreneurs. Thanks to the support of strategic allies from the private sector and international cooperation institutions, young people have had the opportunity to participate in various initiatives and programs that promote their growth and opportunities. In addition, in this space, young people have developed skills, explored business ideas, and built support networks that allow them to advance towards their personal and professional development to generate roots with their communities for the search and development of opportunities.

Within the Núcleo Lab Hub building, youth can enjoy: (1) a digital fabrication lab with a 3D printing area and laser cutter open to the public free of charge; (2) the headquarters for Glasswing’s employability and entrepreneurship programs, which includes a playroom and a lactation room; (3) meeting rooms; and (4) open spaces for youth.

The building has received an investment of more than $435,000 from the Fundación Henríquez for renovation and maintenance. It also received an additional investment of $380,000 from organizations such as The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Elástica Studio, Solaire, Sherwin Williams, Caoba, and MSAC. Additionally, it received $570,000 from international cooperation agencies for technological equipment and youth training.

In recognition of this ongoing commitment, a tribute event was held to youth and the Fundación Henríquez for their support in consolidating this project. The event was attended by representatives of private companies and major donors, including Mr. Luis Henríquez, President of the Fundación Henríquez; Natalia Salcedo, Country Director of Glasswing International in El Salvador; among others.

The impact of this partnership reflects the importance of having spaces that foster youth development and generate positive changes in society. Glasswing International and the Fundación Henríquez reaffirm their commitment to continue promoting initiatives that strengthen the potential of Salvadoran youth and contribute to building a future with greater opportunities.
