The President of the Corte de Cuentas de la República (CCR), Walter Salvador Sosa, accompanied by the chief magistrate, Julio Guillermo Bendek, toured different checkpoints to verify the execution of the Plan of Control of the Use of National Vehicles.

The objective of this supervision “is to guarantee salvadorans that national vehicles, during the vacations, are being used exclusively for the service of the population. It is a preventive measure that strengthens accountability in the public sector”, said President Sosa.

For this Plan, which runs from april 13 to 21, 2025, the CCR has deployed, nationwide, audit teams from the seven directorates and their regional offices in Santa Ana, San Vicente and San Miguel, in order to verify that vehicles for official use have a formal authorization for circulation.

The CCR auditors are checking that there is a formal authorization for the use of the vehicle, that the purpose of the mission is duly justified and that the vehicles are properly identified. All of this is based on the Regulations for the Control of National Vehicles and Fuel Consumption.
