The DINAMICA II Initiative, promoted by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the Government of Germany through KfW and the European Union, will allocate a total of US$15,000 in non-refundable prizes to six salvadoran micro and small enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs who have stood out for their innovation in the use of digital tools. These funds will be delivered as part of the closing ceremony of the diploma courses in E-Commerce and Digital Administrative Management, developed by the CDMYPE specializing in digital transformation of the Universidad Gerardo Barrios (UGB).

The financial resources seek to recognize and promote business initiatives with high growth potential through the adoption of technologies. The awards will be presented at three graduation ceremonies, at the end of each edition of the diploma course, and aims to encourage the implementation of digital solutions that improve the operational efficiency and competitiveness of participating businesses.
In this first edition, the company Sophie Crown was awarded first place. Its proposal, focused on personalized jewelry, will receive a portion of the fund that will enable it to invest in new machinery and expand its production. “I am proud to empower my brand, thanks to the DINAMICA II Initiative. This is an innovative experience that will allow me to offer new accessories to all women in the eastern zone with a good price and feel elegant”, expressed Vanessa Vasquez, representative of the venture.
The second prize was awarded to the “Abeja Dorada” venture, which specializes in the production and transformation of honey. The capital received will be key to strengthen its presence in digital platforms, diversify its offer, and expand its market nationwide.
Throughout the second half of the year, approximately 400 SMEs and enterprises are expected to participate in the next two editions of the diploma courses. Each cohort will culminate with an exhibition and marketing fair, giving businesses the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and establish strategic contacts to expand their network of clients and allies.
These actions are part of the DINAMICA II Initiative’s strategy to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Central America, facilitate access to adequate financing, and promote job creation. By supporting young, innovative companies, it seeks to accelerate the digital transition of the MSME sector, which is considered a key lever for sustainable economic development in the region.
