El Salvador’s banking sector once again demonstrates its solidity and growth, with figures that reflect excellent financial health. The total assets of salvadoran banks have reached US$2,643.2 million, a remarkable increase of US$157.7 million.
This increase represents a 6.3% growth compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the updated Ranking of the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña (ABANSA). These figures reinforce confidence in the financial system.

Banco Agrícola remains the leader, registering assets of US$574.4 million, obtaining 21.7% of the total. It is closely followed by Banco Cuscatlán, with US$461.2 million and a 17.4% share, consolidating its relevance.
In third place, BAC Credomatic has assets of US$377.9 million, representing 14.3% of total bank assets. Its presence is fundamental to the country’s financial structure.

Entities such as Citibank, with US$46.0 million (1.7%), and ABANK, with US$33 million (1.2%), also contribute to the system. The diversity of participants enriches the supply of financial services.

Although their percentages are lower, the participation of these banks ensures competitiveness. This directly benefits consumers and businesses, promoting a dynamic financial sector in El Salvador.
