This raffle is dedicated to LAGEO’s 50th Anniversary. This company generates electricity through geothermal energy. This process rationally and sustainably utilizes El Salvador’s geothermal resources, contributing to our energy development.
In addition, LAGEO maintains a constant commitment to its communities, promoting education and environmental stewardship through FUNDAGEO, a foundation that has benefited the population near its facilities since 2005.
Before the raffle, we welcomed Mauricio Pérez, LAGEO’s production manager, who entered the prizes into the raffle and sorted the bags. He also shared details about geothermal energy, explaining how the earth’s heat is a natural phenomenon associated with active volcanic systems. This hydrothermal system, although not directly connected to the volcano’s magma chamber, is generated by the heat coming from it.
At the end, our president, Javier Milián, presented the commemorative painting, the twentieth one circulated during the week, to Mynor Gil, president of LAGEO, in recognition of the company’s work.
