With the goal of strengthening its fleet, improving the customer experience, and consolidating its growth, Avianca is investing over US$800 million in 2025.
This investment is being distributed across projects that will directly impact the traveler experience:
Network and fleet expansion
13 new routes have been announced for 2025, representing a 13% increase in connectivity. To support this expansion and growing demand, the airline will add six additional aircraft to its fleet by the end of 2025.
Product and service improvements
The investment includes strengthening “INSIGNIA by Avianca” in Europe and expanding Business Class to over 80 routes in the Americas. Additionally, new lounges will be opened and a priority check-in service for Lifemiles customers will be implemented.
“This investment of more than USD 800 million demonstrates our unwavering commitment to our customers. Our model works by offering competitive options and an expanding premium experience. That’s why we’re actively investing in more aircraft, an unprecedented route network, and, crucially, in the quality of the travel experience”, said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.

Investments in its business units:
Avianca’s investment also extends to its business units, strengthening its market position and improving its value proposition.
LifeMiles: The investment is aimed at offering more benefits to its members, as well as the improvement and opening of new VIP lounges, enhancing the customer experience beyond the flight.
Avianca Cargo: The airline is strengthening its position in the cargo market. The strategy includes increasing its fleet of cargo aircraft, especially the A330F, and increasing flight frequencies to improve connectivity and transport capacity.
The airline operates as part of the Abra Group, along with Gol and Wamos, with a combined fleet of 300 aircraft. The Avianca Cargo and LifeMiles business units (with more than 14 million members) continue to strengthen and contribute to the company’s strategic growth.
