In the coming days, Camarasal expects to kick off the holiday season, one of the most anticipated by the commercial sector. The institution assures that salvadoran commerce is ready to take advantage of the economic boost generated by the early Christmas bonus and the holidays, thus strengthening productive activity and consumer confidence.

According to the president of Camarasal, the early Christmas bonus payment, recently approved by the Government of El Salvador, will allow families to have extra money to get ahead on their Christmas shopping. This increase in consumption could reactivate the economy and especially benefit the country’s small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

The commercial sector is ready to boost sales with the early Christmas bonus and the early opening of the holiday season, a measure that, according to the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal), will bring benefits to both salvadoran businesses and families.

The private sector expects this decision to contribute to boosting the national economy, generating a positive increase in sales for formal commerce. However, Camarasal emphasized that each company must conduct its own financial analysis before determining the payment date for the Christmas bonus, as the measure does not require an advance payment, but rather provides flexibility to do so based on their budget planning.

Some business owners are already considering advancing the payment of the bonus, considering that this year the Christmas season has arrived early and the festive atmosphere is already felt in major shopping centers. According to the association’s projections, the country could close the year with economic growth of 2.5%, with the commerce sector being one of the most dynamic.
