The Latin America and Caribbean Business Meeting: Connecting to the Global Market, organized by CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe-,—already has 205 registered purchasing companies from 20 countries seeking to connect with exporters from the region on January 29 and 30, 2026, in Panama.
The buyers come from Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, the United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and the Dominican Republic, and are looking for suppliers in agri-food, textiles and clothing, chemicals, manufacturing, cosmetics, software, and construction materials.

The event will generate more than 4,000 one-on-one meetings between buyers and 300 exporters from Latin America and the Caribbean. Each businessperson will have between 16 and 28 business appointments in a day and a half, the equivalent of more than two weeks of individual business development. A single trip allows them to meet with buyers from more than 15 countries, concentrating in one place what would otherwise require multiple trips.
“This Business Meeting is a concrete opportunity for businesspeople from Latin America and the Caribbean, in addition to participating in the discussions of the World Economic Forum on the region’s challenges and opportunities, to establish trade and business alliances with buyers who are actively seeking products and services from our region in strategic sectors such as agribusiness, manufacturing, and technology”, said Sergio Díaz-Granados, Executive President of CAF.

The Business Meeting is integrated into the Latin America and Caribbean International Economic Forum 2026, which will bring together more than 2,500 business leaders, investors, and government officials to strategically position the region on the global geopolitical map. This integration transforms the exchange of ideas on trade, investment, energy transition, and digitalization into tangible business results for participating companies.
Registration and participation in the roundtable are free for all businesspeople. Registered exporting companies will receive special discounts on airfare and accommodations. The organizers will facilitate professional matchmaking between supply and demand to optimize meetings and follow up on generated opportunities.
The call for participation is open to exporting companies in strategic sectors. Those interested can register at https://www.matchmaking-forum-caf.com/ until december 22, 2025. Space is limited.
