Avianca announced the strengthening of its network for the 2026 summer season, during which it will operate 30 additional weekly frequencies across 9 routes, mainly to destinations in Central and North America. The airline also highlighted key milestones for 2026, such as the reactivation of the seasonal direct route between San Salvador and Madrid, and the transition of the San Salvador–Orlando route from seasonal to permanent operation.

“We are very pleased to continue strengthening our connectivity in El Salvador. Today, our operation is the strongest in our more than 90-year history in the market, even doubling pre-pandemic levels. This undoubtedly reinforces our commitment to Salvadorans and the importance of this market for the company, which represents nearly one-third of all group operations,” said Reyna Mejía, Sales Director of Avianca for Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

In 2025, the airline transported more than 3.8 million passengers and operated over 30,000 flights, maintaining high levels of operational efficiency: an on-time performance (OTP) of 89.05%, a compliance rate of 99.31%, and a baggage handling incident rate of 0.58% per 1,000 passengers.
