
The Ministry of Labor of El Salvador, led by Minister Rolando Castro, reiterated that the legally mandated holiday must be respected by all employers, guaranteeing double pay to workers who are required to work on that day.
According to reports, the provision applies without exception, and companies are obligated to comply with this labor right, in accordance with current regulations in the country.
Authorities detailed that Ministry teams are deployed throughout the country to verify compliance with this measure and address complaints related to potential irregularities.

Furthermore, it was warned that failure to comply with this obligation could result in sanctions for employers, as part of the actions to guarantee respect for labor rights.
The minister emphasized that these actions aim to foster a culture of compliance in the country, promoting fair working conditions and respect for the law. Finally, he called on employers and workers to become informed and act in accordance with the regulations, reiterating his commitment to defending labor rights in El Salvador.
