With the excitement of the World Cup drawing ever closer, Walmart Central America is kicking off this special season with a special offer designed to help salvadoran families fully enjoy the grand celebration of football.
The first event begins on may 13th with the exclusive online World Cup Preview, a 100% online e-commerce initiative that allows families to purchase discounted items in categories such as electronics and party supplies. The offer includes everything from TVs, cell phones, and audio equipment to sofas, tables, grills, and essential products for sharing and fully experiencing the passion of football. Additionally, in El Salvador, online purchases made with a Walmart Card will receive up to 20% additional savings or the convenience of purchasing selected items with interest-free installments.

To allow customers to create their own home stadium experience, the Supercenter (Walmart), supermarket (La Despensa de Don Juan), and warehouse (Maxi Despensa) formats will be extended until may 26.
Road to the World Cup

The excitement continues with Walmart’s major World Cup Campaign, available both in-store and online, starting June 3 and running until july 21.
This campaign features key categories for celebration and enjoyment, such as perishables, groceries, and consumer goods, offering a comprehensive selection for every occasion: from preparing barbecues, lunches, and dinners, with products that stand out for their freshness and variety; as well as snacks, beers, and soft drinks. Clothing and sporting goods—such as World Cup jerseys, gloves, and balls—are also part of the campaign, allowing everyone to fully experience the excitement.

The key figure in these campaigns is Costa Rican soccer player Keylor Navas, who reinforces a message of discipline, effort, and pride aligned with the company’s values in Central America. Just like in soccer, Walmart Central America takes on the role of captain of a team that works daily to support its customers and make every World Cup moment a better experience.

“With these campaigns, we want to involve families so they can enjoy the World Cup while saving money and improving their lives. Throughout this season, we will support them with winning offers designed to simplify their daily lives and enhance the experience of each match”, said Nancy Carbajal, assistant director of Supercenter Operations.

Walmart Central America wants to demonstrate that great achievements are born from daily effort. Just as a player represents discipline and commitment in the field, the company and its various formats position themselves as the defender of families’ budgets, offering low prices every day.
World Cup Savings

The World Cup Savings initiative is reinforced by “Low Prices,” available at Discount and Warehouse stores. Thanks to this offer, customers can fill their shopping carts with competitive prices on items such as televisions and cell phones, as well as an attractive assortment of World Cup apparel for all family members, along with groceries, consumer goods, and perishables. Discounts range from 20% on groceries and 15% on perishables, general merchandise, and textiles.

As part of this season, customers can purchase technology products, appliances, computers, furniture, and more with up to 24 months interest-free financing when using the Walmart credit card. In El Salvador, they will receive the additional benefit of one installment refunded.
Financing options will also be offered with other credit cards, with terms of 12, 15, and up to 18 months interest-free.

Walmart Central America invites all families in the region to get ready for kickoff and celebrate the World Cup with excitement, savings, and everything they need in one place. To further strengthen that emotional connection with the World Cup, Walmart is offering Panini albums and stickers.

“This season, at Walmart you’ll find everything you need to fully enjoy the World Cup. From setting up your home theater to celebrating every play with family and friends, we offer a wide variety of products, all in one place”, said Kenny Araujo, Operations manager for Biformato El Salvador.

In-store activations
The Fútbol Fest Experience is an in-store activation initiative that aims to bring the excitement of soccer to customers, enriching their shopping experience and rewarding their loyalty with fun activities and promotional materials. The tour will take place from april 17 to july 19, visiting Walmart, supermarkets (La Despensa de Don Juan), and warehouse stores (Maxi Despensa), where consumers can participate by presenting a valid purchase receipt with at least three products from participating brands.

The program includes themed football experiences with interactive games, trivia, and immersive activities, designed to encourage participation, entertainment, and brand engagement. Depending on the store format, the activations will range from fully branded fan zones to compact, operational formats, always accompanied by a redemption stand for instant prize giveaways.
With these activations, participating brands strengthen their presence at the point of sale during one of the most important sporting events, generating high visual impact, brand recall, and a memorable experience for consumers, aligned with the festive and emotional spirit of the World Cup.
