The Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador (BCR) together with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), is organizing the forum AFI 2024 Global Policies. This event will bring together more than 86 institutions from 82 countries around the world, according to information provided by the BCR. The event will take place in San Salvador, from september 2 to 5, 2024.
Under the theme “Innovation for an Inclusive World”, the forum’s main objective is to foster dialogues among leaders of central banks, finance ministries, financial regulators and other key players. These dialogues will focus on strengthening financial inclusion policies in AFI member countries, seeking to promote more equitable access to financial services globally.
The event will be attended by a diverse international representation. Among the countries attending will be Madagascar, the United States, Egypt, the Netherlands, Honduras, Iraq, Palestine, Italy and the Maldives, among others. The presence of these representatives underscores the importance and global scope of the discussions that will take place during the forum.
The BCR has welcomed the participants through its social networks, highlighting the relevance of the forum to advance financial inclusion. This meeting offers a platform to share experiences and best practices, as well as to collaborate in the creation of strategies to improve access to financial services in different contexts.
